Rod Baker is the founder & CEO of Baker First Commercial Real Estate Services, a leading full-service commercial real estate firm in Oklahoma City. Mr. Baker is also the Managing Broker for the company.  Mr. Baker has over 32 years of commercial real estate experience including brokerage, property management and construction/development. His specialties include commercial sales, leasing, management and development of retail, office and self-storage projects.  Mr. Baker has sold, leased and developed hundreds of properties throughout Oklahoma.

He is a CCIM designee and a licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of Oklahoma.

Mr. Baker is active in numerous organizations including being a member of the Urban Land Institute, member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and Board of Advisors to the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce.  He has served as a Board Member of the Commercial Real Estate Council, Past Chairman of the Oklahoma City Board of Adjustment, Past Chairman of the Commercial Industrial Division of the Oklahoma City Association of Realtors, Past President of Uptown Kiwanis Club and Past Chairman and Board Member of Oklahoma Goodwill Industries.

Jay Baker joined Baker First’s construction division in 2008 as the Assistant Project Manager for Alliance Property Development. In January 2014, Mr. Baker was named Sr. Vice President of Baker First Commercial Real Estate Services and Sr. Vice President of Alliance Property Development.

He has managed various types of projects including retail, warehouse, and office buildings ranging from small tenant finishes to large remodels around the Oklahoma City metro area.  Jay has completed jobs for several different entities including AT&T, Little Caesars Pizza, Supercuts, and Security Self Storage.

Mr. Baker holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Oklahoma State University where he was member of the Financial Management Association. Jay is a licensed Oklahoma Real Estate Sales Associate, actively participates in Oklahoma City Chamber events, and is pursuing his CCIM designation.

Sales Associate

Bill Reid joined Baker First in 2014 as a Sales Associate, bringing 29 years of commercial real estate experience. Mr. Reid has an appraisal background, having achieved his MAI designation early in his career, and has spent most of his career as a commercial real estate lender in the national market. He has extensive experience originating and purchasing loans and negotiating detailed transactions.

Mr. Reid holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Oklahoma, is a licensed Oklahoma Real Estate Sales Associate, and is past president of the Great Plains Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. He attends Crossings Community Church, where he volunteers with LifeTools for Kids, a support program for children.

Johnny Reither

Johnny Reither joined Baker First in 2017 as a Provisional Sales Associate.  Mr. Reither has a finance background that includes extensive experience in customer service, mortgage lending and outside sales.  Mr. Reither comes to Baker First after 15 years of success in the medical sales industry.

Mr. Reither holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Southern Nazarene University and is a licensed Oklahoma Real Estate Provisional Sales Associate.  He attends Life.Church, where he volunteers on the host team.

Lori Petit joined Baker First in May of 2005 as the Area Manager of the self-storage division, managing seven self-storage locations throughout the Oklahoma City metro.  Before coming to Baker First, Ms. Petit had over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry enhancing her skills in sales, operations and management.

Ms. Petit was promoted to Director of Management and Property Services in 2010 managing not only the self-storage division but all retail, office, industrial and special-use properties. In 2014, Ms. Petit was promoted to Sr. Vice President of Baker First Management Corporation and General Manager of Baker First Property Services.

Ms. Petit is an active member of the Oklahoma City Association of Building Owners and Managers.  Ms. Petit actively participates in Oklahoma City, Midwest City, and Edmond Chamber events.

Manager of Property Services

Dorman Griffith joined Baker First in 2009 as a Maintenance Supervisor and was promoted shortly after to Maintenance Manager. He was named Manager of Property Services in 2012.

Mr. Griffith retired from the Navy after 23 years of service.  He then began working as a project manager for a hotel renovation company and as a project supervisor for a local residential home builder.

He enjoys camping, fishing and time with his family when he’s not tending to the variety of tenant needs.
