arena, ballpark and art museum, along with a renovated performing arts
center and convention center.
MAPS, Metropolitan Area Projects, is a $350 million plan
comprised of nine cultural, educational and recreational projects.
- SBC Bricktown Ballpark – 12,000 seat ballpark
- Cox Business Services Convention Center – renovated
to add more than 100,000 sf
- State Fairgrounds improvements – new livestock
show facility, new horse barns, building renovations
- Bricktown Canal – one mile long, linking Downtown,
Bricktown, and the North Canadian river
- Library/Learning Center – a state-of-the-art 110,000

America’s largest artist communities – with more than 4,500
artists and 21 arts organizations. We are host to the nationally renowned
Festival of the Arts each Spring.

OKC was named #1 for executive-level housing among 75 US communities for
three consecutive years by Ernst & Young studies.
Gaining jobs at twice the national average
OKC’s 2.2% annual growth rate beats the 1% national average. Resulting
secondary jobs add another 3%.

The Oklahoma City MSA (Metro Statistical Area) has 20 general medical

Reflecting a strong belief in quality education, OKC citizens passed MAPS
for Kids – a $700 million plan that will replace or renovate every
school building in OKC. We have a Charter School system. Oklahoma City
has 15 colleges and universities, and 2 community colleges.

OKC consistently ranks among the nation’s lowest in business costs
and cost of living, according to an Economy.com survey and American Chamber
of Commerce Researchers.
The largest city to meet EPA clean-air standards
OKC is the largest geographic urban region in America that’s in
attainment with air quality standards set by the EPA.
Better roads, no congestion
Some 24,000 miles of modern, multilane roads make circulation throughout
the OKC metro reliably speedy and congestion-free. Oklahoma is the Crossroads
of America, being at the intersection of I-35 and I-40. In 1997-2001,
Oklahoma undertook an ambitious $1 billion highway improvement program.
Will Rogers World Airport is currently undergoing an $85
million renovation. In Bricktown, we have the newly renovated Santa Fe
station, with its Amtrak connection, “The Heartland Flyer”
connecting to Fort Worth, a national Amtrak hub.
A city made for recreation
With 33 golf courses, nearly 80 miles of trails, 147 parks and 12 metro
area lakes (50 lakes within an hour’s drive), this is definitely
a city on the go!

You can visit the Stockyards, National Cowboy Hall of Fame, Oklahoma City
Art Museum, National Memorial, Oklahoma City Zoo, the new Ballpark, the
